Quarantine Thoughts (Part 1)

So the world is going through a pandemic and it's been really crazy all around all of us. During this time a lot of people are facing many different challenges from Mental, Financial, and Grief. But yet people are still not following the guidelines being set for social distancing..

I think people do not realize that even though this may not affect them directly it is affecting many people. I want to be real candid today and open up about things I normally do not because I want people to really get why this pandemic is not a joke for the world.

So I am a military spouse, military is essential and they get no days off from putting their lives at risk for the well-being of others. But you see my spouse is auto-immune compromised and if someone who is sick with the smallest of things, my wife will be down for the count. So you could imagine how much I worry about her being exposed to this virus because it could change my life for the worst. We have an 8 month old child that I do not want to have to raise alone if the worst outcome could happen. That's not all my wife also has a blood clot and is on blood thinners, she's not supposed to have a cycle until that get the blood clot situated. So every 4 weeks she gets a shot to stop her cycle from coming, but because people have not been listening and they are closing things down the hospital is now saying they will not be seeing non-emergent patients, which means that puts my wife at risk for a different thing that I have anxiety about all the time.

I also have anxiety that is a lot worse when I'm stressed or feel completely overwhelmed with life. Well this pandemic has caused me many restless nights because my grandma is over a certain age, my parents are both essential personnel, and I have people I know losing family members from this. The even harder part is they cannot even go to these family members funerals because of the virus being on the rise around us and the shutting down of some states they consider "Hot Spots".

Then you have the people out there that have symptoms and are not reporting them, going to work and exposing others with families to something that could separate people from their CHILDREN! Like could you imagine your child being sick and you cannot go with them or you being sick and worrying who will be there for my baby?!

I am find that someone people find this not to be as serious as it really is. Now I get having to go stock up on some items or getting things for your children, but still having unnecessary gatherings and/or just doing things that you know you should not be doing during this time, is putting so many at risk and is completely unfair.

These are things I continue to think about as we go through this world wide pandemic....

Until next time, I will be #SurvivingLife

  1. This pandemic has really affected the mental of a lot of people.....we are essentially stuck like caged birds only to be grated a little time to flap your wings at work or to the store and then boom you back in the cage.....I don't do well being stuck in one place and u don't do well when I don't have control over things and as you stated people out just living their best lives...My mom is a nurse and she out here day in and day out working with geriatric patients who are more likely to be exposed...but this is the population she has chosen to work with....I worry everyday if she has enough PPE and is practicing social distancing as much as she can......my aunt is a phlebotomist and I have to worry about who she is coming in contact with daily...praise goodness my grandmother is retired but she's the only grandparent k have left so heaven forbid something happen to her...People want to go out to the beach, clubs, bbqs, and gather in crowds bc they don't think it can happen to them or it's not as severe as it is....we are witnessing bodies being burned on the streets, no funerals, no loved ones, nothing.....it is ridiculous and I will AmeriKKKa would take the time to listen to what someone else (of minority decent) who has experienced this has suggested...but not AmeriKKKa think it know everything and is the worst country in the world thus far at combating the pandemic and best at jacking up the economy .
